Dr.Shashaanka Ashili, Interium CEO, CureScience, Founder, Smart Drivinc, Scientific Advisor, Tekcaptial plc & Former Scientist, ASU Biodesign Institue.
Dr. Shashaanka Ashili is an Engineer, Physicist, and Entrepreneur. He currently leads CureScience TM Institute with a vision of developing curative therapies for neuro and autoimmune disorders. The Institute is scientifically focused on leveraging early diagnostics, immunomodulation, and regenerative medicine. With patient-centricity and data-centricity as its mission, the Institute is enabling start-ups and industry stakeholders in building a pipeline of clinical solutions, including therapeutics. In addition, the Institute is building a patient-centric data hub to leverage IoT based solutions to improve clinical outcomes. The Institute is also a boutique investment firm within healthcare and life sciences verticals with a primary focus on strategic partnerships under its mission and vision.
An alumnus of NITW, Dr Ashili completed his MS in EE from Wright State University with a focus in VLSI and Embedded systems, Ph.D. in Optical Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a focus in Optical transport and coupling in meso and microscopic structures and Fellowship in Bio design from the University of Missouri, Columbia with a focus on Laparoscopic surgical devices. He spent more than four years at Bio design Institute at Arizona State University as one of the lead investigators on a $36M, 10-year NIH, NHGRI grant to understand cellular heterogeneity. He also leads SmartDrivinc, an IoT based asset tracking start-up, where he raised monies and built international partnerships.
