Our Unique Differentiator
The incubator is attached to the Healthcare Technology Innovation Centre (HTIC), a multidisciplinary research centre. The centre extends its support in providing access to its healthcare researchers and product experts to assist the startups in joint technology development, product/ service development and clinical, design & market validation.
Network and Linkages
The incubator has a wide span of support network consisting of medical institutions, public health organizations, government bodies, hospitals, doctors, industry strategic partners, and venture capital firms to provide start-ups with varied perspectives and strategic insights on the healthcare industry.
Funding
Start-ups get access to the IIT Madras innovation fund to ascertain a seed fund. Incubator’s strategic partnerships with venture capital firms and healthcare investors, also provides an opportunity to the start-ups pitch their idea and get an investor’s perspective.
Physical Infrastructure
The MedTech incubator would provide physical infrastructure facilities such as meeting rooms, conference rooms and work spaces designed for MedTech start-ups. Also provide access to certain essential equipments and machineries required for building, testing and validating a product as a remitted service.
Mentoring
Incubator has a wide pool mentors on board consisting of IIT Alumni, industry experts, corporate and manufacturing professionals, medtech experts, experienced entrepreneurs, technology specialists and business professionals.
Consulting
MTI also has on board business management, strategy, research & technology, operations, manufacturing, regulations and policies consultants to advice and service the start-ups in building a medtech company.
Admin Support & Services
The incubator also provides legal, secretarial, accounting and web development service support within its stipulated scope. The start-up would also get access to the other admin services like printer, copier etc.
